| "Bibi" Bonnet adapted from a pattern published in 1838. Constructed of wired buckram, the outer covering and curtain are tan silk jacquard in a diamond pattern. Brown cotton velvet provides the contrast trim with hand-dyed and curled compound ostrich plumes and a sheer silk "ribbon" bow decorating the crown and outer brim. The under brim is faced with natural silk pongee. The crown is lined with open-weave cotton. The ties are rayon moiré ribbon. $225.Click photo for additional images. Sold.
